Default hyper britanny

I have 3 yr old britanny spaniel that is really hyper so it is hard to train him do you guys have any advice on how to calm him down so i can train him. he knows sit, stay but when hes really excited he dosent pay heid to the commands help pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Take that dog for a serious run! Let him work off some of that energy in the field. Run him with a check cord on. Let him out and then call him back, again, again and again. When he has used some of that energy, then work on the stuff you need to work on. Keep your training sets short and make them fun for the dog if you can. But remember you must be in control not the dog. And when the dog does something right, you better make sure he knows about it. Some times a dog will do bad things for attention.
