how the hell are you supposed to get this open to install it? I've tried everthing other than force..because i dont want to break it, or scratch it. anyone?

There is a place to stick a small screw driver or knife (be careful) just barely pry and it will pop apart. Once you put it on it will snap back together. After you have done it you will see how simple it is. If you need any further help give me a call
