Some of the more obscure breeds really do not offer more of anything that is already out there, but they sure cost a lot more. For a true versatile dog that can get it all done and cost around six hundred bucks, look to NAVHDA lines of german shorthaired or wirehaired pointers. Don't be fooled with the "labels", mean, hyper, aloof, sharp... Just research your breeder and he can get you whatever you want.
I believe the large musterlander is a german longhaired pointer color variation, and really are very similar to the above breeds, but you pay more
