I'm looking for lab breeders in Colorado. Are there any good ones you can recommend?

What are you looking to use your dog for? (upland, ducks, geese, all). Any other specific's you want in a lab? I could recommend a couple that I have seen dogs come from that were great looking dogs and performed well. Might could even give you some people to talk that have dogs from a few of these kennals.

Mainly as a waterfowl dog, with some upland- 80% ducks, 10%geese, 10%upland. Don't care if it's a flushing or pointing lab. Male, black or yellow with a lot of go. NOT the english type of dog. $7-800.00 is the limit I can afford.

I would recommend shadow mountain. I know a few guys who have bought dogs from here and have no complaints, they use them for both upland and waterfowl. I have met Patrick the owner, at nationals last year and he seems like a nice guy who ( by his web site ) you will see takes a lot of pride in his dogs and what becomes of them. Ckeck out his web site @
shadow mountain labs, he has had his dogs all over the US and Canada hunting last year. It shows some great pics of waterfowling trips. Hope this helps. Good luck.

By far, the best Pointing Lab breeders would be Black Forest Kennels. For traditional (flushing) Labs, I've heard lots of good about Bar-None Kennels.

I used Aspen Gundogs. they have some of the nations leading champions -Godda Woodie for instance- they have labs vizlas and some others. I got a pointing white-phase yellow lab. she is amazing! they have great genetics and virtually no hip or bone problems as well as not a single case of glaucoma in their dogs. visit them at aspengundogs.com! they are amazing! all colors of labs are available.
