Anyone know anything about the Charles Daily shotguns (2 3/4 & 3" pump or auto). My wife has informed me that she will be hunting a lot more this year and she ain' t usin' one of my guns.........she wants her own. The gun looks (3D camo pretty much like my benelli) and feels great to me but I know it is a pretty new gun. Just thought I would check with you guys/gals before making a move.

Not sure about the pumps, but the semi-autos are notrious for not ejecting light loads. I know of three people -- buddies that had one and this is the problem they had. I have also heard similiar accounts from other people. If you are going to go with a semi-auto -- go with a name!

Chukarbuster,
Actually, my female has hunted chukars []-- along with 11 other species of game birds. Plan on going to Oregon for blue grouse, mountain quail and possibly band-tailed pigeons in September.

Right now, all I know is that my dogs and I are flying to Portland. I won' t be hunting chukars while there -- going for mountain quail and blue and ruffed grouse only, with the chance of getting into band-tailed pigeons. Plan on leaving the 16th of September and hunting until the 22nd. Are you sure chukar is open the second week of September? I thought it didn' t open until the first of October.
Good luck out there and maybe we can meet.
