Default CAN U TEACH A OLD LAB NEW TRICKS

i am 14 and i have about a 9 to 10 year old black lab. I was wondering if i could teach her to retreve doves. She will retreieve balls and sticks but she wont follow my comand. help please
any tacktics or technology to help collars...

What command(s) won't your dog obey? Probably you need a good training book - the one I'd suggest is "The 10 Minute Retriever" by John & Amy Dahl. You can order it from their website at www.oakhillkennel.com Another thing for you to think about, is that the average Lab is only good for hunting until they are 11 to 12 years old. You might be better off getting a new puppy and starting out fresh.

You may also try checking out a book or video from your local library on hunting dogs. Force breaking is one topic to look into, as well as basic obidience.
