OK, I have Brittany's as well, as far as i know in order for it to be showed the only restrictions are to have a tial less than 10 cm, it has to be between 17.5inches and 20.5 inches at the the shoulder, and it can not have any black spotting in it's coat or it's nose. The french Brittany is basically the same breed but it isn't recognised in north america. The french brittanys breed standards were developed in Europe after WWII because of low breeding populations. Check the American Kennel club they will have all of the info for sure.

I have a Brit with white on her ear and trust me, she is all Brit. That is a great looking dog. You also might want to check the breeders papers on the lineage to calm your concerns.

What a beautiful little dog! I don't want to start an argument, but unless you are a breeder does it really matter if its a purebred? I just put a purebred pointer down last year just short of 5 years old. (It absolutely broke my heart...still hurts.) Kidney problems. The vet explained that many purebreds are kind of weak. Cross breeds have the advantage of hybrid vigour. If this little dog is across and does everything you want, all the better as far as I'm concerned.
