Ringneck Season is open!
Saturday was the pheasant opening day here in Pa. Came home
with two birds in the game bag.Bo pointed 8 birds so as you
guess I missed my share.Maybe I should show my wife the rifeling
is wornout of my shotgun so it does not shot right. I will show her
my 06 and explain how the bullet needs the twist in the barrel then
show her how smooth and worn out the old model 12 is.Has anyone tried this one?

Didn't work for me. Get the kid hunting and buy them a NEW shotgun, then sneak off and leave the kid home and use the new gun. lol
Don't you just hate it when you miss that bird and the dog turns around with "that look"?

RE: Ringneck Season is open!
i live in Pa too and i have to say i haven't had much luck yet this year. i took off election day like i've done for the past 4 years and went to my favorite SGL in Berks county. saw 4 hens, and not 1 cockbird. all the guys i saw had similiar luck. this used to be a very productive day. i think maybe Pa should rework the current laws for hunting pheasants. in the southern portion of the state the entire season is only 20+ days and you can't take hens even though the state stocks them on the public land. maybe if i saw 4 cockbirds i'd be less bitter.....
