Not so funny. A friend of mine father was killed by his
beagle when he was holding a rabbit up the dog jumped up
hit the trigger and blew his arm off. He bleed to death
before he made it to the hospital.

I would agree with you that it is not a funny article. I would point out to you that the article illustrates the lack of common sense and proper firearm handling skills of some people. You can't feel sorry for anybody in this case because someone was negligent in putting a loaded firearm on the ground where anything could happen. Its stupid mistakes like these that cause sportsmen and sportswomen to lose ground in the fight against anti-hunters and anti-gun lobbyists. You have to use common sense and be responsible for how you handle your firearms while in the field or in the home. Thankfully no one was seriously injured in this case, but what if that gun had killed your friend, your father, or your son. What then? These kind of things should never happen if the appopriate safety steps are taken.
Just my 2 cents.

YEA, just hilarious.. must be nice having your foot shot off and you dad have a heart attack nearly.. real funny guys, justin should be slapped... this kind of stuff doens't need to be on the board.. it gives hunters a bad name.. geeze

People use duct tape to fix things, god used nails.
