GSP's puppys in Illinois?
#1
Hi, I'm having a hard time finding German Shorthair Pointer pups here in Illinois. There is a few kennels that have some, but they are either too old or seem sick. I would love to find a hunter close to me within a 100-150 miles of Chicago that raises them. If you have any info on who might have some, please leave a post, id appreciate it.
Thanks

Hey Matt, There's a kennel over closer to Madison wis. I used to live in Peoria, and I picked up a little bitch for aclient of mine in virginia. I will try and get a name and number for ya. There is another short hair kennel in Brimfield illinois that has some pretty nice shorthairs. I'll do some phone calling letcha know something later. There are some pretty nice lines floating around your area. That little bitch i picked up turned out to be very nice dog, broke easily and had an excellent nose. Head of sense. Boys smoking the grouse with her in stanton, virginia. Seems like this line had some some pretty good crosses in it. Keep you posted, Jonesy

You might want to try King Kennels in Riverwood, IL. I have hunted with many guys who have bought pups from Willy. These are true "German" shorthairs. These dogs are registered in Germany, not in the U.S. registries. He usually has dogs for sale. Here's a link to their website:

HI, I LIVE IN EFFINGHAM ILLIINOISAND I RAISE SHORTHAIRS. IM NOT A PROFESSIONAL BREEDER, JUST A HUNTER WHO LIKES TO RAISE QUALITY SHORTHAIRS. I DON'T HAVE ANY PUPS RIGHT NOW OTHER THAN THE TWO I PLAN TO BREED NEXT SPRING. THEY ARE BOTH SHOWING PROMISE. THE LAST TWO LITTERS HAVE PRODUCED REAL GOOD DOGS. I''VE HAD GUYS GET THEIR DOGS PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED AND TWICE HAVE COME BACK AND SAID THAT THEY WERE THE BEST DOGS THEY HAD EVER TRAINED. THE LAST TRAINER WAS USING MY PUP TO HELP TRAIN HIS OLDER DOGS! HAPPY HUNTING AND KEEP ME IN MIND IF STILL INTERESTED IN GSP IN THE SPRING
