Default Spinner

I have a buddy that does a little breeding and training, Not Full Time. But he had a pup that he was working with and I was up at his house one day and he said let me show you something. So we go out and he gets this Pup I would say 1 1/2 yr. old and he come to his side. He has me toss a bumper, and when he sends the dog he starts spinning around in circles maybe five or six times. I am like what the H... is that I said you need to name that dog "Cyclone". But on a serious note has anyone heard of this and how do you stop it?

That is sweet, I have never seen a dog do that, but I have seen dogs do some things every time they fetch. For example my uncles dog lets out one howl befor it goes in for the retreve and a freinds dog takes a pee every time it pickes up a bird.

I think that is one high strung dog, or he like the felling he gets when he spins, I know I do.

Glad to hear that Guss! LOL My younger dog probably urinates at least twice before he finally brings back the bird to my hand! It can be quite annoying sometimes.

I wouldnt worry about it, a dog dosent have to do every thing by the book. My dog is far from perfict, he wont even fetch, but it is not a problem for me he will still find the down bird and wait tell I get there. I have shoot a few grouse that ended up in the water and to my supprise he went out and got them. As soon as his feet hit dry land he droped the bird and went back to hunting.
