RE: trout spinner ?
For me Panther Martin 100% hands down. Ive caught more fish on this one lure then anything else i have ever used for fishing. The most i have caught in one day is 17 on this one spinner.

ive always liked Rooster Tails. white, black, brown etc were my favorite best colors. then i started fishing for wild and native trout. they really favored gold swiss swing spinners. the problem i found with both is they are too darn light for my small streams. by the time they are near the bottom the lure is back at my feet. so i decided to fix that problem. another problem with the swiss swings was that the hooks were too large for the little native brookies. so i started making my own..heres what i came up with..
they look large..but i find them to be about perfect. solid brass beads and a #10 hook i believe. they kill native brookies and wild browns and bows, and the stockers really hammer them. also saved me some money too.

I agree with you I use the panther martain fly lure gold with yellow tail 1/16 size. Most trout in one morning catch at trout stocked stream in nj 35 trout from 10 inch to 22 inch rainbows. Only keep big ones to eat catch and release the others.

I'm another Panther Martin fan, if I had to use only one lure it would be gold blade with the black body and yellow spots. I can't remember my best day but it would be between 15-20 all released. I have used out west in CO to back east all thru New England. It is my go to lure.
