Eng,
It's not a bad price for the per acre, and we can use it all season long at anytime if we decide to take the lease. I'm sure with the number of people who may be interested we can keep cost down per person. Not many people have land they can hunt on besides that of public lands and one still has to travel and expense a certain amount etc. Oh and by the way Farmville area is in one of those counties that has the urban bow season sept 18 opening for those looking to fill a freezer..lol
September 18-October 1, 2004 and January 3-March 26, 2005 within the incorporated limits of the cities of Colonial Heights, Emporia, Franklin, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Radford, Richmond and the towns of Altavista, Amherst, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Farmville, Independence, Rocky Mount, Tazewell, West Point and in Fairfax County. Restrictions and other information specific to each participating locality will be available here by August 2004. During this season only antlerless deer may be taken.

My family and I moved here from Wisconsin last year and im trying to get back into hunting again, and to teach my 14 year old son. Its been about 10 years since I have hunted. Also just got done camping in Cumberland state forest area last week, "Bear Creak State Park", and visted Farmville area, Its a nice rural town but not too small it even has a Walmart there. Please count me in.

I've been on the road and haven't had access to a computer. Great to see that this thing is still alive. We are in Falls Church VA now. I am still very interested in this for my boys and me. Please count me in.
Thanks for all the hard work. Let us know what our next steps should be.

Let me bring this thread "TTT".....
Hey Takeahike, I have been all over Cumberland State Forest and into Bear Creek Lake too. Beautiful area! I have hunted Cumberland and spooked a big buck from his bedding area once. I have gone back numerous times looking for him. I know he's out there!
