Did anyone make it to the swamp? what have they got so far?...I went to Croom this past weekend, on Saturday in the poorin rain I got to make it thunder in Croom, I dropped a 142 lb. 5 point (would have pry been a 7 or 8 point if not for the right side main beam bein broke) with a spinal shot. It was the first deer of the general gun season checked out and was heavier than any they got durin the muzzleloadin hunt, I nicknamed him the "narly 5"...

I plan to hunt differently this year,....

5.00 - 9:00 am sit in promising stand spot..rifle
9:00- 2:30 still hunt with buckshot inside of bayheads away from my promising spot
2:30 return to climber until dark..rifle

What do you all think.?

We saw a few does and my buddies friend saw a six point Sunday morning. He was not chasing though. Hoping to get back in there Friday or Saturday.
