Danny I had it right you had it wrong or you want me to be wrong
From ESPN.com:
Stoops said the teams that play for the national title should at least have won a conference championship. Last year, Nebraska made it to the national championship game after not even winning the North Division of the Big 12.
"What'll happen this year, I don't know,'' he said. "I don't even bother to speculate. I don't much care. All I care about is going to play Texas A&M this week. Hopefully, down the road they'll find a way to tweak it or incorporate some type of playoff, but use the bowls to use it. I think it would be great.''

Okay, I was wrong, and I apologize for that. But, later on (prior to losing) he was talking about how it's not fair that the conference championship games count against someone when most of the other conferences don't have to play them. Maybe he was referring to LSU being hurt by having to play against Georgia again (since that has been in the news for a few weeks), and them losing their quality win points because of it. Or maybe it was in counter to Corso's comments.
I do think there should be some sort of playoff. It could be held during this month off waiting for the bowls.
I also think all the hype and the awards themselves should be done after it's all over and done with. Alot of the Sooners were up for awards. Now if they go to the Sugar Bowl and dominate it (easy LSU, not saying they would, yet) then they would probably go ahead and win those awards. As it is now, they're not winning them because of the one slip-up last week.

Easy fellas, I admit, the Sooners didn't play worth a darn against Kansas State. But I dare say that LSU didn't play too well when they lost either. So just remember the last time someone popped off about whipping the Sooners. It was 65-13, in favor of OU. Then someone else popped off about them, and it was 52-9.

Awwww, c'mon now. I can tell you right now, there's no way LSU is going to score 45 points. I have a feeling you're going to get tired of hearing Boomer Sooner all night.
Sooners 35 - LSU 21
OU still #1 in the BCS!!!
