im with reswire,im damn tired of finding deer on my property dead with arrows stuck halfway through them and they make it on my property to die,i get no phone calls to ask permission to track them, them bowhunters just whack and stack, dont care if they find them or not they just want to hear the sound of the "smack" an arrow makes.reswire when your done with peta, hsus, and the media let me know so i can show them how inconsiderate them bow hunters are,i got plenty of rotting deer on my property with arrow shafts still in them, bet they would love to see that, not to mention one my hounds that made it back home with acarbon shaft sticking out both side of her.

you wanna play the media game? well i can too!!!!!!!!!

Now that sounds like a load of crap. How many deer do the dog hunters shoot in the a$$? The reason there is a plug in the shotgun is so you wont shoot it 5 times. I've seen guys unloading guns with buckshot at turkeys and shooting brush to run them out. And to top it off, shot at on MY OWN PROPERTY by a hunter standing on my fence line. Fact is there are more injured deer with shotguns/rifles than bows. Maybe if your dog could stay on his own land, he wouldnt have been shot.

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! THIS GUY IS UNREAL! AND BY THE WAY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PLUG IN YOUR GUN ANYMORE. AGAIN WOW

Gee Va houndsman, I agree with you. Reswire is just gonna have to get over it. I can come on his property any damn time I please, and he'll just have to get used to it. My dogs can't read signs, and I can't talk to dogs like Dr. Dolittle does. I've got grandparents who hunted with dogs, and I plan for my grandchildren to do the same. If my dogs run deer off of his property, too bad. Maybe he needs to buy some better fences. I've got laws to protect me, all he has is some whine and cheese.

Hound hunters have more rights than police officers do. A cop can't go on his property without probable cause, but I can go there anytime. I can walk on his front lawn, look into his barn, and swim in his pool if my dog might be on the bottom. Just because there are more criminals in society today thanever before, the right to retrieve law is not hurting him one bit. I'm one of those dog hunters who say"keep everything the same, everybody else in Virginia willjust have to put up with my evil ways".

No sarcasm or thoughts of compromise in my soul. I'm just a good'ole redneck boy.

What ticks me off when I read these complaints is no attempts at contacting a cpo or law enforcement and filling out a complaint. No attempts at gathering identification so these illegal hunters can be identified and delt with. Instead those of you who has had problems and I feel for you but you do nothing but come to a public forum and jump on your soapbox and complain. shut up and do something about it. It is your land and if they are illegaly on it then throw the book at them.

This is a subject that been around for awhile.
My two cents worth from experience of dealing with dog runners/hunting clubs.......
The power of the VOTE.
Most doggersare with some type of club. You can't beat the number of votesif you don't have the voters behind you.
Going after individuals doesn't work. Again, the power of the majority rules youout.
Most clubs are tight with the game wardens and the single hunter doesn't stand a chance again, with the numbers against you.
I have had many run-ins with ahunting club here. Got video's, time stamped pictures even the game warden saw the ending and positioning ofhunters. What happened you ask?
They shot a huge10 pointon land withPOSTED GAME COMMISSION SIGNS, my land, they came through the gate on my land shot the buck took the truck across the beans got the deer and left. I got it all on tape and pictures showed them tothe Gameofficer and sheriff.....NOT EVEN A TICKET ANDTHEY KEPT THE DAG BURN DEER!!!
YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE WITHOUT NUMBERS!
"the hunter said he didnt do it so I let him go"...I EVEN GOT THE TRUCK AND TAG NUMBER IN PICTURES! BUT HE DIDN'T DO NOTHING.......

As you see the power of numbers is you only hope.
Local animal activists but then you know what happensthey get involved all DoDo brakes loose and ruins the hunt even worse.

Use the dogs to you advantage hunt when they run, set gates, post game signs (see above)to eliminate driving on your land, gate it!When they are retrieving they are not supposed to have weapons. When they have weapons thats hunting without written permission and trespassing. Might not even work but, only with numbers will you have any control over doggers.

man if you have all that evidence you should not be messing with local authorities. I can give you some insight, most local authorities in small communities are corrupt. However, they all fear the back lash from the state and feds. turn that into the state. Call the state police and get them involved. Go straight to state DNR and make them act, call your senetor/representitive and let him know your rights are being neglected by the local authorities. As some one with experience working as a fed, i love making the locals actually do there jobs for a change. Yeah numbers are great, but buddy if you got that much evidence you need to go above your local yolkals.
