Two deer chasing dogs have resided permanently on my property since yesterday morning.

Oh Im sure they ruined your deer hunting. Give me a break. That's about like spanking an infant baby because it's crying. They don't know what theyre doing. Real ethical.

While cutting wood on that place last week i watched those two damn feral dogs tear a fawn to shreds before i could get to my truck for my gun. One was a pit bull and the other a pit bull cross. Took my AR-15 with me that morning with the idea of ruining those dogs day. Yes, those two wild dogs didruin my hunting as they came chasing after a doe with her tongue hanging out. Here the meth lab scumbags get tired of their bad dogs andcarry them off to to rural areas where they chase game and livestock.

What, pray tell, is not ethical about killing wild dogs on ones place?

Now you didnt say WILD FERAL DOGS. Thats a totally different story. It also surprises me that a pit can maintain the stamina to chase a healthy deer until her tongue runs out. It also surprises me that they were able to take down a healthy fawn, this late in the year. If they werent healthy, then it was a favor. What's to say you would have saw a deer that day anyway?

that surprises me as well, especially when most literature tells us that most fawns can outrun a dog by the time they are about 2-3 weeks old. All and all its hard to understand whats going on and to have much of an opinion as the story seems to change from post to post

Have seen a lot of healthy deer caught and killed by dogs. Deer tire out pretty quickly after a mile or so.Dogs can run for many miles. These wild dogs are not slow running deer hounds that just keep the deer moving and do not try to catch it.

What changes from post to post? i made two posts. Fact is that i killed two feral dogs that i saw catch a fawn and tear it apart. They were killed while chasing another deer on another day. i often kill feral dogs; most of the county sheriff's here either encouragethe killing of feral dogs or do not object to their destruction.Out in thecountry here there are lots of wild dogs that people have turned loose rather than take them to the pound and pay a fee.

Earlier this year i was attacked by a big Samoyed while opening a gate.He came out of a nearby shack and nearly got tome.i will kill every feral dog on my propertythat is not wearing a collar. If it is wearing a collar i will call the sheriff and getinstructions.

Cattle and horses get torn up by dogs pretty often. A friend breeds horses. Four of his horses were torn up by three pit bulls that someone turned loose. That breeding fee forhis stud horsewas $5,000. No one wants to breed a mare to a horse that has scars all over it from a dog attack.

Most of the wild dogs that i have killed have been in very good physical condition. They were also big. Small dogs do not survive in the wild: The coyotes eat them for supper. A coyote cannot deal with a big dog.

All I can say is WOW! There is a bunch of crying going on. I have read a few decent adult replies in this post. I am not a dog hunter but have many friends that live and breath dog hunting. But as a land owner I agree that the right to retrieve law needs some work. I can't retrieve a deer that I have shot and it has ran on someone elses property without permission. Why not do that with dogs? If I go home or I am home and someone is just wondering around my property it's not going to end nicely. I feel that reswire has a right to be upset if what he says is true. He has done something that has got the attention of that hunt club and everyone on here. To him this is war. I think he mostly got this post started to stir up trouble and maybe vent some. Dog hunting will never end. It is an effective way to manage the deer heard in the eastern part of the state. If the bad apples don't get taken care of this debate will never end. It's like the battle of good and evil. The Conservation Officers here have handled everything from rival clubs spiking each others tires from one person killing over 13 deer in one season. I have only seen 3 different Conservation Officers in this area. There is NO WAY they can handle all the illegal acts of deer hunters. Now with all that being said dog hunters will have bad apples as will still hunters. Still hunters will complain till the end of time if a dog runs through where they are hunting. Land owners will complain when there are strangers walking around on their property. And dog hunters will complain when other people complain about them. It will never end!

Ive seen walkers and walker/beagle crosses stretch out for 5 or 6 miles only to have the dogs tire out, some times die and deer go unscathed. Pitbulls arent really thoroughbreds of the dog world, more like clydesdales. If you seen it, who am I to call you out on it though?

im with reswire,im damn tired of finding deer on my property dead with arrows stuck halfway through them and they make it on my property to die,i get no phone calls to ask permission to track them, them bowhunters just whack and stack, dont care if they find them or not they just want to hear the sound of the "smack" an arrow makes.reswire when your done with peta, hsus, and the media let me know so i can show them how inconsiderate them bow hunters are,i got plenty of rotting deer on my property with arrow shafts still in them, bet they would love to see that, not to mention one my hounds that made it back home with acarbon shaft sticking out both side of her.

wow, i now feel dumber reading some of the crap that is on this thread. this is not the forum for BS like this, if you want to get your point across, do it somewhere else coz your just chasing your tail trying to do it here. i understand that your pi$$ed but venting here is just going to pi$$ allot of other people off and your not getting anywhere.don't get me wrong before you bite my head off, if i had people intimidating my family and all that i would bepi$$ed too, but really dude calling PETA, the media??? really?? WTF, i hope your hunting friends weren't close friend...but like i said, i understand. just dont go getting all upset when when everyone start throwing abuse your way.
