chances are your are going to first have to take a hunter/gun safety course. Your state dept of wildlife should hold these on pretty regular occurance.

Secondly, get a copy of the hunting regs of your state. this will tell you what you need specifically to hunt as far as liscense, tags, permits, etc.

Turkeys - a 12ga will do fine. for hogs, you'll need to shoot slugs from the shotgun. youll need rifled slugs w/a smooth bore shotgun. You will also need to practice for the hogs. You will be shooting a single projectile that will travel up and down during the course of flight.

You might also start asking around for friends that hunt to get help/pointers/ assistance etc. from.

good luck on your quest.

Where are you in Florida? Take your gun saftey class and find a mentor. It will help you a lot. Then you get to learn the crazy world of WMA's.
