Default legal distance from other hunter? (iowa)

I was hunting last weekend when I had two instances of another hunter setting up pretty close to me. It didn't really bother me much, just so long they didn't shoot in my direction. But I was wondering what the minimum distance has to be from another hunter to be legal. I've asked a few different guys and I keep getting different answers. I can't seem to find it in the regulations booklet. Anyone know what it is for Iowa?

In my hunting guide, it says if three hunters are spread out, each hunter shoots to a 45 degree angle.

Woops, that's not quite what I was asking. I meant another hunter as in a separate group of people in another boat. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I've been told 60yards, 100yards, and 200yards. Thanks for the response though.

Never seen the answer in print. Maybe other states have such a law. Being a fellow Iowan, I'd say you have to call your local DNR officer. Jim

In NC no distances are posted in the reg book that I've ever seen. So legally I dont think there is a distance. I've been told 300yrds is min distance from a house and also as a min dist from a baited site to avoid a ticket by a Game Warden. But there again I've never seen that in print.

I son't think there is an actual law saying you have to be so and so from another hunting party. its just common curtosy to set up away from their spread

I see. Thanks for the responses, very helpful.
I may call the DNR and see what they have to say.
