I am have come across a good deal when it comes to leaseing a piece of hunting property in Clay co ky,I live in TN along the ky,tn line and before i commit to this deer lease i was wondering if anyone could explain ky deer hunting seasons and bag limits to me.I have tried at there website but none of it makes sense to me.So if anybody here hunts in ky could you please explain to me the regulations for zone 4?

In Zone 4 you can take a max of 4 deer, which only 2 of them can be taken with a firearm including muzzle loader. The other 2 can only be taken with a bow or crossbow and you have to buy the bonus tags. Of the 4 deer only one can be anterled. There is a statewide deer permit which allows either 1 antlered deer and one antlerless deer or 2 antlerless. During the modern gun season and the October Muzzle loading season you can only take antlered deer regardless of what you use, the second muzzle loading season is either sex. During archery season you may take either sex with the exception of modern gun and the first Muzzle loading season. Hope this helps.
