In illinois i know when transporting a shotgun during hunting season on an atv you have to have an enclosed case straped to the atv. Is this the same rule for a archery bow? Id like to buy holders for the bow to my atv but if i need to carry the bow in a case they are worthless to me.
Thank you

From:
Transporting Firearms and Bow
and Arrow Devices in Vehicles
It is unlawful to:
•
have or carry a shotgun, rifle, handgun
or airgun in or on any vehicle, conveyance
or aircraft
UNLESS the firearm
or airgun is unloaded and completely
enclosed in a case (see definition of
case on page 6)
EXCEPT as noted in the
Migratory Game Bird Section, page 17
(Hunting From Floating Blinds). Also see
Hunting From Vehicles and Boats (see
above) and “Frequently Asked
Questions” (page 36).
• carry a bow or bow and arrow device in
a vehicle, conveyance or aircraft
UNLESS
it is unstrung or enclosed in a
case
, or otherwise made inoperable.
You need a case.
