The colder and harsher the climate the sooner deer shed.Best times to look are from March to May.I ve found sheds in several different states up and down the East Coast from Georgia to Pa.There are no set times to find them I usually start looking as soon as hunting season is over.Last year I had found 20 by feb 1st,and 50 for the whole season. So far this year Ive found 2.So all you can do is burn boot leather looking.Goodluck.

I'm here in SC near the coast-hunt Berkeley, Charleston & Williamsburg Counties. Most of them start losing their horns in mid to late Jan around here up until March. Did have a buddy who killed one for a doe mid Dec that had bloody knots where it had already shed.

I have seen them shed as early as Nov in NC,shot one in the central part of the state, reached down to drag it by its antler and it came off in my hand.
Sitting in a tree stand and one came under me that had only spots where the horns had been.
