I am jealous CamoCop. All I have seen within bow range were does and a spike and because hunting on private property I could not take them. What part of Florida did you kill the 6pt. Pics would be nice

i'll try to get pic's on here soon, the biologist said he was only 1.5 years old but weighed 132 pounds. i thought he would have been older than that by his body size.

Hey CamoCop did you see him first and then hit the tube or did you blind call him in?

i never saw him before grunting. it was about 9:05 in the morning and i hadn't seen anything up untill that point. i figured what the heck, might aswell grunt a little...not like it's gonna keep me from seeing anything. so i hit the 'ol grunt tube a few times, paused for about 5 minutes, hit it again a few times, paused for about 5 minutes and was going to hit it again when i heard a soft grunt to my left. i slowly looked up and seen him walking to me like i had him on a rope. he would grunt when taking a step and he was smelling everything he walked by. he finally turned broadside at about 67 yards and i dropped the hammer on him. he jumped straight up and kicked with both back legs. he ran a half circle towards me and crashed about 15 yards from the base of my tree.

i don't think i would have ever seen him if i wouldn't have grunted when i did. i know he wasn't trailing a doe because nothing moved through there since i was in the stand (at approximately 5:30 a.m.).
