My name is Jr. I have a mossberg maverick 88 model and Im looking to add a sling to the weapon.. The front take down screw in is there but on the butt of the weapon there is just a notch cut out to fit another screw but the screw hole is not drilled out. Any feed back is much abliged and also if you have any info. on where to by the screws and swivels for the weapon is much abliged. Thanks for the info Jr.

You will need to drill this out. Put some epoxy in when you install the stud. Uncle mike's sling swivels work great. Mail order or most good sporting goods stores will have them.

Hurry up and wait.

If you don't feel comfortable doing the work yourself let a gunshop install it. You can purchase the materials from them and they won't charge much to do the work.
