I haven't pop a cap yet. Had 5 8pt with in 40 yds opening am but couldnt move because of those pesky does under my tree. Besides its too early in the season when I know there is bigger deer in the woods. This am was a bust rain till noon didn't even go out. Came real close to shooting a doe this pm but let her walk .

Had 19 does come by Sunday morning after the rain stopped. Not a buck in the bunch. Starting to see some scrape activity though, so it shouldnt be long.

Man I am still at 2-0. Counted on getting out for powder this weekend but didn't want to brave the weather.

Pulled the trifecta on a great weekend.
Around the town of spavinaw on the water. We float down to where we are hunting. Was hanging my stand Friday night and took my bow. Shot an 8-point with my bow. Field dressed 120. Saturday saw plenty of deer but did not have a good shot until 1:30 pm. A 7 point that dressed 115. Took a doe at 8:30 am on Sunday before the rain dressed 78 pounds. The doe was on the other side of the water

The best weekend I have ever had.

I scored on a doe thia evening. Didn't get to the woods till after 4:30 and the deer were allready on the wheat feilds. So I decided to set on a trail leading to the wheat hoping a few deer would be late also. I sat on the ground about 40 yds from the trail. Ten minutes went by and a Doe walked 6 paces in front of me. She ran abot 25 yds and that all she wrote. 101 lbs.
