Bear hunting in Montana, post your results.
I just wanted to see how the spring bear season has been for everyone in Montana?
I went hunting sunday afternoon. I saw one black bear, he was faster & smarter than I was. He hauled bootie into the brush as soon as I saw him. I will try to call him in tomorrow morning? I hope I can call him into bow range?

I tried a predator call on Monday. I did not call in or see a black bear. I did call in 1-coyote. If the weather breaks today? I will try my predator call one more time.

WK,
I've pretty much gave up on the spring hunt,I might go this coming Saturday.I went a few times this spring but the snow and the weather has not been cooprating.After this weekend I have Paddle fish trips planned and family fishing trips so the bears will be safe till fall.

I buy a bear tag for nusiance bears that won;t leave the property but I really don't need to go any further than the front door to shoot one. I just don't have any need or desire to hunt bear. I'm trying to save all my energy for sept. Right now the bears are coming down lower in elevation due to the dandelions bloosoming which will make hunting them much easier. Good luck guys, Bobby

Where in Montana are you located at? I used to live in Great Falls several years ago and heard of many towns out there but yours is the only one i don't think ever heard of lol

It's not realy a town all it has is a Post Office and some houes.It right in the middle of the state,past Stanford but before Lewistown.
