Some of you may remember a buddy and Ireceived 3 tickets from a game warden in November. Well our courtdate finally rolled around last week and the judge found us not guilty on all charges. The warden must have been a rookie because his description of the charges on each ticket were confusing and his cross references to the statutes were incorrect. He even told the judge that he didn't think we were knowingly breaking any laws. Anyways ...... we got verylucky and I know to be more careful about knowing all the regulations.

Congrats...whole thing sounded bogus from the start. It's too bad the warden couldn't be held accountable for his actions. I hear too much of game wardens, and in some cases, PO's being power trippers. I know they have tough jobs, but not everyone is breaking the law. In my line of work, you make an error in judement, you're reprimanded or fired. In law enforcement, you make an error in judgement, someone could be shot. I know, tickets and life/death are extremes, but if you can't make the right decision about writing a ticket, maybe you shouldn't have a gun at your side.
I hope you were able to salvage your hunting season having this lurking over your head. Like I said, it's a shame there isn't any accountability.
