Mike Bell...Missed the eight pointer tonight
Hey mike...Missed an eight pointer tonight with the bow. Buck fever.
Brother in-law got drawn for the Di-lane hunt this week and killed a 9 point...198 lbder Thursday morning. Scores about 135 or so. The ranger says its the biggest killed there in 2 years.
I'll be back in a day or two with the "rest of the story". I'll try to figure out how to post a pic of the deer from Di-Lane also. Got to go man....hunting the bow again in the morning.

LOL... with FirstBow. You a funny man Firstbow.
I missed and it was a bonehead mistake.I was watching a six pointer feed near me for about 7 mins. I heard a twig pop and there he was about 8 yards on my left feeding directly at me. I finaly got to stand up, went to go to full draw and the arrow fell off the string to the ground. The deer never lifted his head off the acorns.
But wait, could there be more?
Of coarse!
Man I was shaking like a leaf on a windy day. I finaly got another arrow out of the quiver and started to noch it and couldn't stop shaking. FINALY got it noched, bow up, pulled back, anchored, waiting for the deer to turn broad sided, he turns to the left, I got him...........NOT.
I shot over his back. Missed judged the distance. 15 steps, not 20.
I'm still learning to bow hunt. Been at 5 years now and am learning it all on my own. Just a little wiser now FirstBow. Still get buck fever after 25 years of deer hunting.
Don't forget about the six pointer I was worried about busting me the whole time. My wife laughed at this eposode also.
Whats your last mistake FirstBow?

Hee Hee Hee!!!
Better you than me!
I was over next to Di Lane on Sunday the 20th.
The place borderes Di-Lane off Williams Rd. (I think)
Just pass the second bridge on Herdon Rd.
I was slepping on the ground about three o'clock when I woke to some sounds similar to deer walking.
Well it was a deer alright, I think it was a spike. And it was about 10 yards away. That didnt last to long Before I could get the gun, I had leaves kicked in my face, and that der was doing the Boogity Boogity Boogity!
O well.
Maybe next time.
