Default crows...

i decided to try hunting some crows this weekend at my friends camp i hear them in the mornings gathering and in the evening flying to roost...i heard them flying to roost so i ran grabbed my camo jacket and my call(my turkey locator lol) and my 12ga...all i had was 7.5 shot and i had a modified choke....i know the shot is small...anyways they seen me jumo in the weeds(i was 20 secs late and didnt get set up in time) and they seen me and started to flare so i cut loose they were about 45 yds out or so...perfect 20 yd shot if they would have keep coming...im not sure if i got the one i shot at both times the first shot he started a fall and started flying agains then the second shot he went below the tree line after the shot and i figuerd he was trying to be safe...but he could have fell i dont think so though....how should i call with my mouth type call?l..like how often and note types?...is there a sight i can maybe download a track and burn a cd of crows like johnny stewert calls (i think thats the name)and use that in a cd player and shut it off before i shoot? i really dont want to buy much to hunt crows except some better shells..so i thought maybe they hit the net for download...also what shot load and choke is good for crows?? can i manage with my hand call? thanx

Mauser,

Try posting in the website below in the bbs. There's alot of knowledgable crow hunters there and they can give ya alot of good tips for killing crows.

Mauser,

Crowbusters is a pretty kewl site. A non-member can access anything there except the little white block under "Members Section". A non-member is more than welcome to posts bbs. I would even register for their free monthly giveaway. There are only a few guys that run this site so they don't have time to be sending e-mails back bugging people to join. When posting bbs, don't be surprised if they take a few hours getting to the boards since they are all moderated though.
Along with hunting.net, I keep a check on Crowbusters, as well. A cool site where crow hunting is the main topic to get answers from and to add in giving advice.

i dont currently have the money for a caller (well i do but want other things more) and i cant drive yet so i cant get out and crow hunt because my dad isnt a wingwshooter so i will buy when when i can drive....for now i will try getting the mouth call to work...and hunting alone 1 crow is good enough for me! i will be shooting a winchester model 50 semi 12ga...ive shoot 100 round cycles through it and it hasent gave me any trouble...and where i will hunt doesnt have 1000 cros how i hear people shooting so i will be fine....i got winchester AA super sports and remington nitro 27 handicaps for the longer shots...i know them are expensive shells to shot crows but i bought them for grouse and dove and such but after shooting at crows so close the wad was falling 3 ft from them dead in line watching them not fall being hit that hard i decided to try the better shells....hopefully i go norht with my friend tonite and can get after them....im going to try run and gunning...and mimicing them to get them in
