RE: Coyotes during the day
I have called coyotes through the course of the day from sun up to dark, all year long I have never found that their is any specific time that coyotes come in the best.. the most important thing to remember when hunting coyotes is the wind and sun.. if you call with the wind in your face and the sun at your back and you are in for a good call.. stay off the horizon not to be silhouetted, yet able to see down wind will help in killing dogs as well..

Coyotes can be killed anytime of day or night... you just need to get within a distance of the coyote that he feels safe traveling at that moment in time. They're more comfortable in darkness but also confident in daylight/dusk situations where light levels are low. They'll come hauling ass to the gun in the broad daylight- if your setup is correct.
Check out this link for some cool pictures of a pair of daylight coyotes I called recently-

RE: Coyotes during the day
They have been shot in our farm yard in the middle of the day on a nice, sunnyday. If you have several verycold and stormywinter days head out when you get a break in the weather. Chances are they will be very hungry and not so cautious.
