I usually just sit and shoot with a 22 rifle and when it slows down move to the next hollow and find a good spot.I see a lot of squirrels on the ground this time of year looking for nuts and acorns that have been covered in the fallen leaves.Good Luck!!

I like just sitting, near den trees, where theres a couple squirrels in one tree. It usually needs to be a sunny morning not real bitter or windy to see many. It's not like fall when they're always out searching for food.
