Default crows

I have shot crows with my .17 hmr with decent sucess, but I was wondering about calling and decoys. I only have about 5 decoys and call a little bit when I go out. Do I need to do any more than this?

When you wound a crow tie his leg to a rope and peg him to the ground allow enough rope for him to jump and fly. Get in the darkest pine forest up hill from him and use a recorder or a couple of reed calls and have fun! The most fun I have ever had is crow hunting find crows in cow pastures they are the meanest ones and fly the fastest.

Smitty,

As with all other game hunted, you' re only going to be as successful as your scouting is. Calling crows isnt too hard as long as you find where they are at. I usually ride and check out dairy farms, cut corn fields, hog lots, freshly spreaded manure spread on pastures, cultivated fields, etc. When you find these places you' ll know it because the crows will be there. I have hunted crows pretty hard for the past two winters and these are the types of places I do the best in. Obtain permission, build a blind where they are coming to feed, set your dekes out, be there at daylight, and have a ball.
