semi auto or bolt better?

I have the 597 semi in 17HMR. It receives lot of TLC and I have not had a problem with it yet. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

the 10/22 with an extended clip. ot shoots off rounds so fast its like using a mini machine gun

Sorry M11, good question but I don't know the answer. I can only speak about my personal experience with the 597. Hopefully someone who knows will reply. I'd like to see some info on a site like that myself. Good luck.

The remington 597 is a nice gun but it uses a cheezy cheap a$$ clip. I had one and sold it because of that clip. Walmart has stainless synthetic 10-22 with the sporter walnut stock for 232 dollars. check them out. You cant go wrong.

I have a 10/22 (22lr) and a 597(22mag) and i prefer the remington over the ruger. My ruger is more picky with ammo than my remmy. Never had a problem with any of my clips for my remington either.
