Yeah you will get a lot better, trust me. In a couple weeks of non-stop practice you will become so good at shooting the slingshot you will make impossible shots and hunting non-stop. Im about to go hunting right now in the Forest, it's raining and game love it so I will love it...

Brod_man, how did you put in the linkys??? I tried embedding and it didnt work.
Any way mines an fs-1 looks almost the same. Wolf, are you onlyposting inthe small-game section b/c the folks over in bowhunting are mad cause of the poison thing? Oh those Native American stores, the prices for anything not made in China have doubled or tripled in the last 2 years. I used to buy stuff from them. Ooooh Ooooh I got new arrows yesterday!!!!! 4560 Redhead Carbon Furies!!! I also make some arrows I just buy all my fletching stuff from BPS and use Wooden dowels(1/4") from Home Depot. It works really well and you dont need a fletchingjig if you're shooting stuff within 15 yards, a bit of guesswork and a T-square areenough.Since I bought new arrers I'm going to see how well I can shoot the old ones from my slingshot. This should be interesting
. Mourning Doves used to congregate in my yard at 7-8 o'clock but they don't anymoreand when the grackles and squirrels show up is a mystery to me. Or maybe the birds do show up and it 's cause I'm waking up after 12 o'clock that I don't notice.

Im to only 14 years old but I still hunt. I only take what I need, for example I only kill 1 Rabbit to eat and use evreything on it. Thats what I believe in. I hate "regulations" and "liscense" crap they make this world worse than it already is. Hunting should be free, and you should be able to hunt any animal, any day, and any time. But the reason why we can't hunt freely is because most hunters kill a lot of animals in one day, than burn all thier bodies, such a waste. All those animals could be good food and used for making clothes and weapons. I just don't like it one bit. Thats why I still continue to hunt. Taking one Squirrel won't harm the enviroment, so I will continue to do as I please with small game. But yeah, I don't live in Houston, I was born there and I visit sometimes, but I live in Connecticut.

Wolf, if you want to ignore the minimum age, fine. But the problem with people being allowed to harvest as much as they please brings back the market hunting era of the 1800s and will send species into decline. Hunting is not only intended as a sport but also to manage the amount of wildlife and tailor it to an areas carrying capacity. Too many animals and the species starve, too little and there may not be enough offspring the next year. Who burns the animals they kill?

Same with my parents. Im not really allowed to hunt but I do it anyway because I like it and I like the meat I get out of it. Just like going out with my bow and shooting Cottontail Rabbits, Squirrels, Birds, Fish,Ducks,Geese, and thats mostly it. I kill them with my bow and homemade unfletched arrows, I get like 15 feet away from the animal and take the shot. The arrow isto fast for them to dodge even with un-fletched arrow going about 75-85 MPH. I just sneak at them from any direction, using the underbrush as cover, but if they spot me, I pretend to walk away from them and then zig-zag toward them slowlywithout looking at them, then I will stop if they move, and I will pretend to eat grass, like any other animal that isn't hunter, then they stop being spooked and know im not hunting them, or at least thats what they think. Then I raise my bow and shoot them. The arrow sometimes passes threw there whole body. I do this with every other animal I hunt, well except for Fish and Ducks. I hit a Goose last Spring. I was walking along the shore when I spotted a father and mother goose guarding there eggs. I snuck up on them and when I got like 12 feet away,I raised my bow and nailedthe male Goosein the chest. At first he flocked about, loosing a little feathers, but then he settled and was dead. The mother Goose flew off. I took only one of two of there eggs, and left the other one. I took my large bird to the creek shore, and made a big fire and cooked it. I couldn't eat all of it so I needed my friend Suavea to help. It was good. Then I took the egg home and cooked it and I was suprised that one egg was like equivalent to 5 chicken eggs. That was good to. Nature filled me up, and with my hunting skill and tools I took food, I did food, and I didn't have to come home for a snadwhich or something. I usually also eat earthworms I find under logs when it's raining, thats when im hunting but sometimes it's to chilly for any game animals to come out of there homes soI find other food. I purge the worms clean with Canteen water, and thier good to go. About 8 or 9 large worms is a quarter of my appetite, it's not much, but I need calories and little is something. I also pick BlackBerries and Rasberries I find in the underbrush of the Forest I hunt in. I just keep picking them and eating until im full. One time I lifted up a log and saw some beetles, the black small kind that come out at night, and ate one. The first one was nasty and salty crunchy, I admit, but it's food. Then the second one was a disaster, it sprayed me in the mouth as a defence and it tasted like sour battery crap it was really gross. The liquid acid numbed my mouth for about 3 hours and when I got home my mom made me food and the food tasted like the acid. Never do that it was horrible. Another mistake, I learn from mistakes. What do you guys bring on your hunts? I bring my Bow, side-kick quiver, arrows, survival knife, multi-tool, matches and magnesuim flint stick, skinning knife and rubber gloves so I don't get blood in my cuts on my hand, glasses, slingshot with handful of rocks, cellphone (on silent), canteen, small cup for boiling water, hatchet, and thats it. Not alot, all fits on me without backpack. I usually bring rope for hanging up my kills to drain there blood onto the ground. But yeah, im bored right now thats why I talk so much.

And to answer your question I got nothing, I couldn't even hunt becasue my equipment was soaked and it was cold and raining, I didn't want to risk getting hypothermia when all I had was shorts and a T-shirt , I didn't want to get out my winter clothes. Summer up here has been hot but today was cold. Thats just preparing me for my first snowy Winter hunt coming up. Im going to try to get rabbits with my 30# bow while walking in the forest in snow. That will be fun. And im getting a longbow 60# so I can hunt Deer.
