But the problem with people being allowed to harvest as much as they please brings back the market hunting era of the 1800s and will send species into decline. Hunting is not only intended as a sport but also to manage the amount of wildlife and tailor it to an areas carrying capacity. Too many animals and the species starve, too little and there may not be enough offspring the next year. Who burns the animals they kill?
