savage 111GL .270WIN
Have you ever used one of these? I was wondering if it would work good on crow, squirrel, rabbit or gophers(basically varmints). Do you know if it would work on any of these animals?

When you ask if it will work, do you mean kill? If so, yes. But so will many other high powered rifles that don't recoil quite as much for repeated shooting. If you are looking for one rifle to do everything, such as varmint, target, and big game hunting, the .270 will shine, however, you can kill any of the above animals with a .223 or .22-250 without really feeling it at the end of the day.
