I do a lot of badger hunting, last season Ikilled 19 badgers. You can keep the pelt if you want to, it is pretty nice actually. I use my dogs, or just plain hunting from a stand, badgers likecereal grains and are easy to lure with aordinary feeder. I use my 22lr ruger single six when I go dog hunting. When I hunt from a stand I use either a 12 gauge rem 870 ora browning 30-06, both will do the job.

I do have to say the pelts look good, but they eat rattlesnakes.

I kill every badger I see year round. They make a mess outta my pastures an farmground. I haven't intentionally trapped them for a long time.

Being a native cheesehead, I can only remember seeing one badger in my life in northern Wis. However, when my wife was stationed out in ID, it was a normal occurance to see them out in the desert. I always wanted to get one mounted so I could have Bucky Badger in my tv room when I watched them on Sat afternoons in the fall. Cool animals!
