Oh stop it buster, you arent ever going to completely kill all the coyotes in a place. The government has tried, and thye have much more technology and ways to kill them than we do. Just as all the rabbits in one area arent gone either. They are still there, you just havent found 'em.

Nice profile pik you got there Howler.Thats sweet.

I hunt coyotes all year. There are just as many coyotes now as when I started hunting. Hunting has no noticeable effect on the population.

My best luck is usually early morning or late evening, but I have called them in at all hours of the day. I don't do much at night, because the insects will overwhelm you about 2 seconds after you turn on any kind of light.[:'(]

I have always hunted coyotes in the hard winter here in southeastern Ohio. My buddy and I have decided to stay at it all Spring and Summer. Just can't leave them alone!! We are figuring on the action to get hot after the fawns are born and the litters need feeding.
Good luck to you 2, shoot a coyote or 2and save a deer!

I wouldn't mind getting a 15 lb coyote either as they grow up quick! Also I think it would look really nice under a bobcat mount. Where you can say that every once in a while the cat will get the dog! LOL

not saying they will be gone they just wont be as thick, never said the rabbits were gone just said theres not asmany as there used to be,
guess it depends on how often you hunt to, i hunted the rabbits at least four days a week, thats probably why, guess you guys must not hunt them that often

Go out & bust'm. I plan to. I have had some people tell me it is wrong to hunt them in the warmer months& other say go for it. I plan to kill all I can. Mybe I can save a calf or a fawn, baby turkey. Anyway time in the woods is better than time at work.

coyotes in the summer take a bit longer to call in then they do in winter. maybe about 40-55 minutes a stand
