Sorry for the belated thank you, I haven't been able to get on this puter to check. I like the bi-fur-pod. It's a great web page. Thanks again.

Killzone- Your right, thats basically all we need to do. I just wanted to make something that would work well in the field and hold up over time.

A couple of pieces of wooden tomato stake tied together about 6" from one end using a basic boy scout style lashing , leather thong or nylon twine works well for this . Choose the height that works for you .

If you can get your hands on some of those dome tent poles that breakdown, you can make a collapsable set from them. Just use one or two pieces and shorten the shock cord that runs inside of it. Make sure you don't let the cord go when you are cutting it though, or you're never gonna get it back through there.
Then bind them together about 6" from the ends by winding some of the spare cord around and tying it off.
Hope this makes sense.

Here another Idea.

Old golf clubs use the grips to help stop the scuffing of your forearm stock

I made a set of shooting sticks using two 4' lengths of bamboo and tied them together using leather boot laces. They work great and are very light.

I made a pair out of Aluminum arrow shafts, I will look and see if I have still have the plans for them, if not I will write some new ones, They work just like Stoney Points fold up and you can carry them in your pocket.
