Don't get stuck on any one distress sound. If you know there are coyotes in the area and can't seem to call them in, change sounds, change location/sit in a differant spot, change times of day when you call the same area!
Any distress sound will call predators. In other words, there don't have to be fawn on the ground for the fawn distress to work! Jack rabbit distress will work, even if there isn't a jack rabbit with in 500 miles of the area. Wood pecker distress will work, even if you're calling an area with no trees and no wood peckers!
