Default The "Perfect Caliber"

I've done weeks of thinking and I think I've found the perfect caliber to shoot anything from rats to deer. A .22 Savage or a .30 carbine, I dont own either of these calibers but based on what I've read I think this is the perfect small to medium size game gun ((BUT IM STICKING TO THE .223!))

I cant argue with that, like I said I hunt with a .223 mainly. but the .30 carbine supposedly did a number on 2 legged animals in ww2

for varminting it is a very poor round. in WW2 they used a 108 grain bullet going 1900 fps. that's twice as slow as a 22-250 so just imagine the drop. plus the rifles that are generally used in this caliber (m1) are not known to be very accurate, which is another thing varminters are extremely interested in.
