Quilly -I would not use a dakota rifle just the dakota cartridge in a stainless 700 action in a mcmillan stock.I do not hunt with pretty rifles or any rifle with a wooden stock for that matter.

Otis-The cartridges I mentioned are high velocity rounds but they have no belts and were never called magnums by their originator.Therefore it comes down to each persons definition of a magnum.Would...

I would go with the 7mm and 300 dakota.Neither has a belt and nowhere in their name is magnum mentioned.I would use the 7mm for deer and smaller game and the 300 for moose and elk.Then again the...
