RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

You have absolutely no evidence to support your delusional contention that 10K bucks die each year from nonhunting mortality.

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

The real problem with the Texas AR's is similar to PA's AR's and AR's everywhere. That problem is that there is nothing that will ever satisfy the little [&:]bird short of returning to the failed...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

Two bucks per hunter would not work in PA. I neglected to say that when saying that the Texas plan sounded plausible here. I should have said that the Texas AR's sound plausible without the second...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

Just going with my gut instincts, the Texas idea sounds pretty good.

I think you're right. We are pretty much on the same page when it comes to AR. I have always beieved we could make it better...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

I agree that the TX system of AR in their study sounds realistic and is relatively simple and it could be a good fit for PA. I do believe the evidence that spikes are not genetically inferior seems...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

Actually, I believe that statement. It explains why you manage to draw the distorted conclusions you draw. It also explains why you can't understand when it's explained to you that you left out...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

Well since the vast majority supports AR, it seems you've got a better chance trying EJ's idea. It's not as if it will cost you any venison

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

A fair portion of Westmoreland County is within the 2B WMU and crossbows have been legal to all for a while now.

Is that deer that big purely because of AR's? Probably not. Does that...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

That is simply not true. You have made that claim repeatedly without any supporting documentation.

Certainly any PA hunter can recognize that our BD ratio was out of line before AR/HR Recent...

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

RE: Antler Restrictions (What they found in TX)

Thanks for posting this SS!!

I'm going to read the thing before commenting much except to say that I agree wholeheartedly with their idea of a spread measure vs a point count on the high end.
