Of course I also want a good quick clean kill, but I would just be lying if I said I don't take shots at yotes I wouldn't even consider on a deer and I'd also be lying if I said I put as much effort...

I didn't advocate wanton waste at all. I just pointed out that I think its interesting that a lot of people pick and choose which animals deserve more respect than others.

Well I didn't say "most hunters waste the meat of waterfowl they shoot" so no I can't back it up but I'm not naive it happens a lot.... Specially snow geese.

Its not for me. Ive done it but don't care for it, I like the long game.

I don't do it at all now because I have to manage bucks and you often just don't have time to identify bucks on drives.
