I use a Michigan made release called the Winn Free Flight. Kinda like a glove more than a wrist release. Really like it, comfortable.

Just like Kevin said rigor is TEMPORARY, and if you are that concerned about it you can take the joints of the deer and move them to loosen the rigor up. That's what we do before embalming. Good luck...
