RE: Any experience with H-S Precision

I am really hooked on WBY and except for one bad experience have been very happy with them. I really like the 338-378 caliber as well.

RE: Bad Experience!!!!

I have nothing good to say about Gander Mountain except its a little better now, but in the past it seemed like they were doing you a big favor by helping you. Very customer unfriendly. They will pay...

RE: Any experience with H-S Precision

I'm assuming by thelack ofreplys and the number of looks this was either a very stupid question or a very good one. Anyway, it would be my guess that it can't be done with a Rem action, so I will...

RE: Any experience with H-S Precision

I thought about the rem 700 action, their stock, and a barrel from Krieger, but I want an all stainless steel action and I want it chambered for the 338 378 Wby mag. I am new to this but I believe...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

Weatherby has always made me happy. This would have been the exception, and I am very glad things turned out as they did. Again, very accurate guns (I won't repeat how accurate though) and great...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

If you look back over the past 5 pages, past the entertainment, you will see that I was looking for help or suggestions, right up to the point I found out the gun was old and didn't have the barrel...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

Yeah Stubble, I'm sure that's it too, otherwise they would just advertise a Criterion barrel, vs Kreiger Criterion barrel. I guess everyone has their opinions of what is good though. I found one...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

Weatherby stepped up, they will be building me a new gun. I'm glad they are doing the right thing (at least the way I see it) because overall I believe they are a good company and build a good...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

Not only that, but why do you think Weatherby advertises that they use Kreiger Criterion barrels ? I know they don't do it tofill up otherwise un- used space in their catalog. I bet they do it...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

I now the barrel isn't anything real special, but it is the barrel that is advertised in their catalog in 2003, AND the gun does not shoot well. Would you care if your 2005 F350 turned out to be a...

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

Well, heres the rest of the story. Criterion confirmed that it was not their barrel, AND THE GUN WAS BUILT IN 1999. I called Weatherby with that info., and the custom shop said that the reciever...

RE: What Cal. for Alaskan Brown Bears

I don't handload as of yet, but I probably will someday as I have all my WBY brass. Looks like 338/378 will work good. Thanks for all your opinions.

What Cal. for Alaskan Brown Bears

Starting plans on Alaskan Brown Bear hunt, and just wondering if my 338- 378 Wby is a good choice ? Otherwise I might have to buy a new gun, and I'd really hate that.:D

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

OK, here's the way I see it. My other two Accumarks I have no problem shooting well under WBY's claim of 1.5 inch. In fact, I looked at my last 30 378 target and 3 shots under 1/2 inch. Now, I don't...

Yes Criterion is a sister company of Kreiger. Kreiger was very helpful, they said bring it in and we'll take a look at it as well as having the guys from Criterion look at it.

RE: Need Help, Accuracy

RE: Elk Rifle & Recoil

There must be some data out their about noise levels w/wo brake. You can remove the brake for hunting situations also. I have never experienced ringing ears post shooting my gun wo protection.

RE: Elk Rifle & Recoil

What about a 30 378 WBY Accumark. Comes with brake standard. Shoots much easier than the WBY 340. Very accurate, and as far as being loud, when your at the range you have hearing protection, and in...
