I've had and used both. Both are good guns but the Rem 870 is by far and away the better of the two. Rem 870 all the way baby!

I used to reload my .357 Mag and .44 Mag when I had them and used H110 exclusively. It worked great for me in both cartridges.

Regardless of velocity and accuracy potential, all cartridges mentioned are good in their own right. It's all a matter of personal preference.
Personally, I'd love to have both the 7X57 and the 6.5...

I think you're looking at chamber pressure worries because of some older rifles that aren't able to handle todays higher pressure loads.
The 7X57 is a great cartridge and very accurate when loaded...

I am buying one of thenew Stevens Model 200 rifles. It has gotten great reviews except for the trigger. Basically they say it has about a 5 lb. pull and not adjustable.
It has a Savage 110 action...
