Id definitely go with a GSP based solely on hunting, i may be biased but i think the GSP has a definite edge in that type of hunting. labs are great too but i think their niche is cold weather...

i dont think it will be a problem at all. where are you hunting? how cold will it be? 4 hours isnt that long. labs have a very warm coat and he/she shouldnt even notice it under normal circumstances....
