I used a M99 in .308 and it worked to perfection. A .300 MIGHT take 10% off the range, but if you choose your shots and avoid extreme range it will serve you well, in my opinion.

This has been a good year for my buddies. Besides the one who went caribou hunting, three others went on a fly-in mule deer hunt in central BC.

Only one got a deer and they were disappointed. ...

I think it was two dead in the crash. I also heard the survivors are going to be fined for hunting outside the zone or from a motorise conveyance.

I don't think there was space available...

Lethbridge is in the arid, southwest corner of Alberta and the Bow River is far away.

Hunting should be good, but access can be problematical.

My buddy just got back from Mirage. The weather was very warm and the bou are slow because they're wallowing, apparently.

They saw no bou and just one track.

I'll get the whole story this...

I don't think driving from Wisconsin to northern Quebec would be practical.

I'd google outfitters in northern Ontario or Nunavut.

My buddy left to-day and is taking thre days to get to Mirage - sleeping in Hull, then Matagami.

We've been following the migration on the Quebec gov't site and it looks like the 'bou will be on...

It wasn't easy. We had a GMC Jimmy with brand new ice tyres, but with extra gas, emergency gear and our gear we were heavily loaded.
