These decoys actually are thrown OVER the line, and then pulled up to perch on the line with the fishing line.
You either tie the fishing line to an achor, or have a weight that you adjust to the...

Winchester Ranger 20ga. pump Winchester Dove Load 7 1/2 and 1 1/8 oz. ($3.75 per box) I like the best as well.

anyone know where I can get some of those dove decoys that you hang on utility...

I've only been able to go a couple times, but didn't see too many either time.
Probably going this weekend though. I hear some birds are flying noonish up around the VA line.
